Zumindest berichtet das Canadian Cyclist online:
A UCI spokesperson has said the UCI has “closed the door” on a World Cup in the US in 2007. The original plans for a triple at the end of June at the Angel Fire Resort in December collapsed after organizers withdrew their bid saying sponsorship was not coming in.
The UCI with the assistance of USA cycling then began to explore a replacement venues in US soil. Park City (Utah) was an initial site put forward, but when that failed Lake Placid (NY) was the next site. Now that location too has failed to go forward.
